In the heart of San Francisco, the 2024 Decorator Showcase unveiled a breathtaking display of creativity and innovation, with two kitchens stealing the spotlight. These culinary spaces, each distinct in their design, were united by a common thread: the selection of Monogram Appliances. This choice is a testament to their unmatched quality and aesthetic appeal, enhancing the allure of the showcase.

2024 San Francisco Designer Showcase

The first kitchen, “Culinary Calm,” designed by Chantal Lamberto, is a serene homage to the elegance of a British manor house. With slate-blue cabinets and blue-gray soapstone, the space evokes a tranquil, yet sophisticated atmosphere. The kitchen’s island, designed to be as large as the room could accommodate, became a focal point, showcasing the versatility and thoughtful design behind every decision. This project, a labor of love by Perez Construction and Chantal Lamberto, exemplifies craftsmanship, from comprehensive demolition to precision in rebuilding, including a strategic skylight placement and seamless cabinetry installation.

“Culinary Calm” is tucked under the roofline, balancing a classic sense of style with an air of simplicity. The grand skylight dramatically washes the space in light, while the historic dormered windows give a sense of place. This expansive room is designed for enjoying the art of cooking, gathering around the island with a cup of tea or glass of wine, chatting with kids as they eat breakfast, and finding the perfect midnight snack. The shaker-style cabinetry, vintage-inspired lighting, custom decorative cabinet hardware, and 3cm soapstone countertops give a sense of grounded elegance to the design.

Jewel Box Kitchen: A Feast for the Senses

The second kitchen, the “Jewel Box” by Kristen Peña, is a vibrant celebration of color and texture. With aubergine walls, elegantly scalloped casework, and book-matched veined slabs, this kitchen is designed to nourish the appetite and engage all senses. Custom floor tiles, ceiling art, and meticulously chosen appliances by Monogram highlight the kitchen’s luxurious and intimate ambiance. This space, brought to life by Forma Construction and a team of skilled artisans, is a testament to the power of detailed craftsmanship and innovative design.

Under the creative direction of Richard T. Anuszkiewicz, the Monogram Designer Collection transforms Monogram’s best-in-class appliances into works of art. Drawing inspiration from the world of fine jewelry and luxury watches, Anuszkiewicz has meticulously designed each piece to embody refined style and impeccable proportions. The collection features handles, hoods, and refrigeration panels crafted from solid brass or titanium, materials that exude sophistication and durability. These striking finishes are further elevated by the option to wrap the handles in hand-stitched Edelman leather, adding a touch of opulence and tactile pleasure to the user experience.

Monogram’s unique offering of 96” tall refrigeration panels is a standout feature, providing an impressive, seamless look that enhances the kitchen’s grandeur. In the “Jewel Box” kitchen, these panels, especially in brass, look stunning and elevate the entire space with their luxurious presence. Complementing the bespoke refrigeration panels are equally stunning hoods and handles, giving homeowners the freedom to create a truly one-of-a-kind kitchen that reflects their individual style and taste.
